Feb 6    2nd Annual Tri-county Literary Celebration (TLC)
The 2nd Annual Tri-county Literary Celebration (TLC) returns to the Lowcountry again in 2016 with extended hours plus more local authors, more performances, and all together more fun for all ages. This family-friendly event aims to recognize published authors residing in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties, foster interest in the arts, increase the number of avid Lowcountry readers, and connect writers and readers of all ages with published authors.
The inaugural TLC event drew in more than 50 local authors and 1,000 attendees last February. To view photos from last year’s event, click here.
This year we anticipate over 100 authors and publishers to exhibit at the new TLC venue,Santee Canal State Park, from 10 am – 3 pm on Saturday, February 6, 2016. The event is FREE to the public, and the published works of local authors will be available for purchase. Some authors may be able to accept credit cards, but cash is recommended.
If the lure of authors and a stroll on the walking trails of Santee Canal State Park were not invitation enough, storytellers will be on hand to share their tales and puppeteers from local Berkeley County High Schools will ensure a fun experience for children of all ages. Lowcountry culinary specialties such as Lowcountry Boil and Chicken Bog will also be available for purchase, whose proceeds will benefit a local high school booster club.
